Bihar’s yearly milk production has gone up by 14 lakh litres: Nitish
1 min readThe annual milk production, which was four lakh litres, has gone up to 18 lakh, Kumar said here while addressing a function at the Nalanda district after inaugurating an automatic dairy and first tetra pack plant of the state built at a cost of Rs 704 crore.
Kumar said that the state government has formulated a 5- year roadmap of Rs 704 crore from 2012-17, for increasing the production, collection and processing of milk.
The Chief Minister also said that dairy has been a priority area for his government as almost 76 percent of the population is dependent on agriculture.
