Construction worker from Bihar murdered in Tiruchi

A construction worker from Bihar was murdered allegedly by his colleague from the same State in Tiruchi on Sunday night.

Police identified the deceased as M. Mansoor Alam (20), a native of Madhepura district in Bihar.

The police arrested M. Rustam Alam (24) on the charge of killing Mansoor on Monday.

Both were working as labourers in an apartment under construction along the Kallanai road here and were staying in the same place. Mansoor Alam found his Rs.20,000 missing a few days ago and enquired about it with Rustam Alam suspecting that he could have taken it.

Rustam allegedly hit Mansoor with an iron road on his head causing his death and fled the scene. Srirangam police have registered a case.
