Dreaded criminal arrested in Bihar

Bhagalpur: Police arrested a dreaded criminal Vakeel Mandal who was carrying an award of Rs 25,000 on his head from Athanwan ‘diara’ (riverine belt) under Ekchari police station area in the district today.

Kahalgaon deputy police superintendent Dilnawaz Ahmed said here that the dreaded outlaw who was absconding since long was arrested following specific intelligence input.
He said, police personnel from five police stations were involved in the operation.

Mr Ahmed said, a country pistol and some live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
He said the outlaw was involved in 12 cases of loot, murder, kidnapping and extortion under Ekchari police station area.
