Girl student shot dead in Vaishali

Hajipur: Unidentified criminals shot dead a college girl near Manua village under Sadar police station area in Vaishali district today.

Police said here that motorcycle borne criminals fired on one Preeti Kumari (24), a student of Awadh Bihari College at Lalganj, at point blank range when she along with her brother was going to her native Ghataro village on a bike.

Sources said while the girl died on the spot, her brother fell unconscious.

Police said the body had been sent to Hajipur Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

An FIR was lodged at the police station on the statement of the deceased’s father.
