Huge consignment of foreign liquor seized in ‘dry’ Bihar

Hajipur: Police seized huge consignments of foreign liquor from different police station areas in Vaishali district.

Police said here today that 30 cartons of foreign liquor concealed in heaps of mud were seized from a banana orchard at Dawoodnagar village under Bidupur police station area following a specific intelligence input.

Sources said that the liquor peddler Sanjay Rai made good his escape from the spot after he got inkling of the police raid.

Similarly, police seized two cartons of foreign liquor from the residence of one Devendra Sah at Belwa village under Goraul police station area in the district late last night.

Sources said that the bootlegger managed to escape.
