Huge consignment of liquor seized in ‘dry’ Bihar

Chhapra: In continuing drive against smuggling of foreign liquor into ‘dry’ Bihar, police seized huge consignment of foreign liquor on Jaiprabha bridge under Manjhi police station area in Saran district today.

Police said 216 litres of foreign liquor were seized from a car during checking of vehicles on Jaiprabha bridge.

The liquor was being smuggled from Uttar Pradesh.

Police said the car driver made good his escape after abandoning the vehicle on the spot.

A massive manhunt is on to nab him, sources added.
