‘Immoral’ act arrests

Muzaffarpur: At least 25 young boys and girls have been arrested in a series of raids and search operations carried out at guest houses, hotels and beauty parlours till late on Wednesday night.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Harprit Kaur said the raids would continue to check college students from allegedly getting involved in immoral acts. Deputy superintendent of police, City, Mukul Ranjan led the raid team into the hotels falling under the Sadar and Town police station areas.

Several boys and girls carrying books and laptops were caught in a compromising position during the raids. They first pleaded to be visitors but later admitted to being involved in immoral acts, said a police officer. The raiding team later carried out search operations at five beauty parlours in the Town and Mithanpura police station areas and nabbed young men and girls.
