Jeweller kidnapped in Lakhisarai

Lakhisarai: Unidentified criminals kidnapped a jeweller at Kajra Bazar in the district late last night.

Police said here today that outlaws kidnapped Munna Verma when he was returning to his residence at Uren village on his bike after closing his business establishment.

Sources said the jeweller`s family members had registered an FIR at Kajra police station.

Infuriated over the kidnapping, local businessmen closed down their shops and blocked a road near Lakhisarai railway station.

Sources said that civil and police authorities were persuading people to lift the road blockade.
