Asked to comment on the new tie-up between RJD and the JD(U), the Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said, “The alliance will come a cropper in Bihar polls.”

“Where is the alliance? Where is Mulayam Singh Yadav in the alliance? What is the name of the party? What is the flag and what is the symbol?,” the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief asked.

NDA would romp home with three-fourth majority in the Bihar Assembly polls later this year, he said on the sidelines of LJP Dalit Mahapanchyat here.

Paswan said, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and Nitish Kumar of JD(U) have together ruled Bihar for 25 years and “the result is for everyone to see.”

Asked if he was an aspirant to be Bihar Chief Minister, Paswan said the offer had come to him long time back from former Prime Ministers V P Singh and Atal Bihari Vajpayee but “I chose to do national politics.”

On NDA’s Chief Ministerial candidate for Bihar polls, the Union Minister said, “I have said that Narendra Modi is NDA leader. Whichever name he decides will be the CM candidate and it will be acceptable to all of us.”

On Jitan Ram Majhi joining hand with BJP, he said that the former Bihar CM should first assert that Modi is his leader and should not simply nurture the desire to head the state government.

He said Modi has launched five schemes including Atal Pension Yojna in the first year of his rule and in the coming four years more schemes are yet to started.
