Police probing robberies, loot in running trains

During zero hour, WRD minister said the government was worried over the rising incidents of robberies in banks and loot in trains. The police are investigating all the cases of loot and robberies, particularly in the running trains.

Leader of opposition Nand Kishore Yadav said a criminal arrested by the STF in connection with the explosions at Bodh Gaya and Gandhi Maidan last year has claimed the banks are being looted to finance terror activities by a banned organization, SIMI. There is a sudden spurt in incidents of loot in trains, like in Ranchi-Patna Janshatabdi express, Ranchi-Chhapra express and Danapur-Howrah express. In the last two months, passengers in six trains have been looted in the state, he said and added cash looted from banks and in trains have not been recovered.
