Bihar and Jharkhand had been witnessing dry weather conditions for the past many days. However, the dry spell ended for the state of Jharkhand on February 10 as Daltionganj and adjoining areas witnessed very light rain to the tune of 1 mm.
After lashing Uttar Pradesh, the rain belt has now shifted towards Bihar and Jharkhand. Many parts of Bihar including Patna are already receiving rain thundershower activities.
Whereas, rains are expected to increase and cover more parts of Bihar and Jharkhand by tomorrow. Day temperatures have already started decreasing and the weather conditions are soon expected to become pleasant.
In fact, traces of rain were seen over parts of Bihar and Jharkhand during the last 24 hours.
Moreover, isolated pockets of Bihar and Jharkhand are likely to receive hailstorm. Rain activity will be seen till tomorrow.
Thereafter, weather will start clearing up from eastern states of Bihar and Jharkhand. Minimum temperatures will be seen falling by 2-3°C.
After the clearance of weather, day temperatures will once again start increasing due to clear sky and bright sunshine and days will start getting warm by February 15.
The hailstorm activates will not widespread therefore, we do not expect much damage to the crops. Although, strong winds along with rain may cause partial damage to the crops.
