Rapist held in Bhojpur

Ara: Chhote Lal has been arrested for raping a 12-year-old girl in Bhojpur district’s Dhangai police station area on Friday evening.
Police have lodged an FIR against six persons and arrested Lal from Piro in Bhojpur district. The other five accused are absconding.
The girl was sent to Ara sadar hospital for medical examination and also produced in court on Saturday to record her statement under Section 164 of CrPC.
Lal, from Ojhai Tola in the district, had gone to his relative’s house in Dhangai.
In the evening, he allegedly went to the girl’s home when her family was not present, and raped her. The police said five of Lal’s friends stood at the gate at the time of the assault. Lal also threatened the girl with dire consequences before fleeing the spot, but she told her parents when they returned home.
