Real Estate Regulatory Authority starts functioning in Bihar

Patna: Bihar Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Authority started functioning in the state with retired IAS officer Afzal Amanullah as its chairman.

The body has been formed with the objective to keep strict vigil on builders and promoters to ensure adherence to rules framed in accordance with laws under the RERA act came into existence.

Mr Amanullah, after assuming his new responsibility, told media persons here that Bihar Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Authority, would ensure adherence of rules to regulate and develop real estate in Bihar in accordance with RERA Act which came into existence after approval of the Parliament.

Motive behind the constitution of this Authority was to strictly ensure compliance of rules framed in Bihar, in accordance with the Central legislation to regulate and develop real estate across the country, he added.

The Chairman of the Authority said that ongoing construction projects in Bihar would also come under its purview.
