Patna: A married woman has lodged a complaint with the Lalganj police station in Vaishali district against her cousin, accusing him of sexually harassing her.

In her complaint, the woman told the police that the accused entered her parent’s house under the jurisdiction of Lalganj police station on May 7 when she was alone and molested her. He also made video clip of the incident.

The accused later uploaded the video clip on the social networking site, which prompted her husband, a resident of neighbouring Muzaffarpur district, to desert her. “I am facing trouble due to the unlawful action of my cousin,” she told the police in her complaint.

The woman said she would resort to agitation if the accused was not arrested soon. A police officer posted at the Lalganj police station said that the girl’s complaint had been lodged and investigation launched to ascertain the truth.

The woman would be sent for medical examination. She also alleged she apprehended a threat to her life and her parents from the accused. “He is not only blackmailing me but also threatening me with dire consequences,” she told the interrogators.
