‘Betrayal of people’s mandate by CM’

The RJD on Saturday said the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, would undertake a “Nyaya Yatra” across Bihar from February 10 against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s alleged betrayal of people’s mandate that was “meant for the Grand Alliance”.

‘Increasing crime graph’

The former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister would also tell the people during the “Nyaya Yatra” about alleged corruption in the government, increasing crime graph and development coming to a standstill, RJD spokesman Shakti Singh Yadav said. Without specifying when the Yatra would be concluded, the spokesman said it would be carried out in a phased manner.

Kicking-off the Yatra from Katihar on February 10, the RJD leader would cover Purnea division in its first leg.

He would be at Kishanganj on February 11, Purnea on February 12, Araria on 13 and Supaul on 14 February.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi took a dig at Tejashwi Yadav saying RJD supremo Lalu Prasad’s son should seek an apology from the people during his yatra and declare that he would donate his and his family’s “benami properties” among the poor.

“He should also apologise for the fodder scam in which his father has been convicted,” Mr. Modi said in a statement.
