Abhishek Bachchan takes the Bhojpuri route

After Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan is all set to appear in a Bhojpuri film ” Gangaramji”, which is likely to be shot in Varanasi. Interestingly, there is a possibility of Aishwarya being roped in too.

Deepak Sawant, Big B’s makeup man-turned-filmmaker, says, “Abhishek had expressed his desire to be part of Bhojpuri cinema at the time we were making “Gangadevi” (that stars Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan). He said, ‘You always work with dad’. And so now when we are starting with our next film “Gangaramji“, which is a political satire, we plan to make Abhishek a part of the project. We would also approach Aishwarya for the the film. In fact, we wanted her to play the female lead in “ShrimatiNetaji“, the Hindi version of the Bhojpuri “Gangadevi“. It had a strong female character and we wanted Aishwarya to enact that role but due to her pregnancy, these plans could not materialise then.”
