Bihar Vigilance raid at IPS officer’s residence in Saharanpur

Saharanpur: The Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) of the Bihar police has raided the native residence and house of in-laws of IPS officer from Bihar Vivek Kumar in connection with a disproportionate assets case.

A large cache of demonetised currency and investment documents were seized during the raids conducted at
three properties of the officer since Monday evening.

The IPS officer is currently the SSP of Muzaffarpur district in Bihar.

Official sources here on Tuesday said the SVU team from Bihar reached on Monday evening and they conducted raid in Saharanpur and Muzaffarnagar in the night.

However, the in-laws house of the IPS in Muzaffarnagar was locked and hence the team returned back empty handed.
