Charas worth Rs 37 lakh seized, two held in West Champaran
1 min readA man and his son were today arrested with charas worth Rs 37 lakh in the international market from a village in Bihar’s West Champaran district, Directorate of Intelligence Revenue (DRI) officials said.
Acting on a tip off, a DRI team with the help of Sasashtra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel raided Vasantpur village in Sathi police station area and arrested Dhruv Yadav and his son Laurik Yadav and seized two sacks that contained 20 packets of charas, weighing 37 kg, from them.
The seized haul of contraband substance was valued at Rs 37 lakh in international market, the officials said adding that the two had brought the drug from Nepal for supplying it to clients in Punjab and Haryana.
The two were taken to Muzaffarpur and being interrogated by the DRI sleuths.
