Fodder scam pinch extends to Jharkhand, Bihar Chief Secretaries

New Delhi: Bihar Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh and Jharkhand Chief Secretary Ms Rajbala Verma, both going to retire this month, have come in for sharp criticism from the court and other agencies for their ‘hyper’ roles in the infamous fodder scam.

On Thursday, special CBI judge Shivpal Singh, hearing a fodder scam case pertaining to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.31-crore from Dumka treasury, wondered why the then Dumka Deputy Commissioner Anjani Kumar Singh was not made an accused by the CBI in the case. Former Bihar Chief Minister along with a host of other politicians, officials and suppliers are accused in the case.
