Four Maoists arrested in East Champaran, Muzaffarpur

Four Maoists were arrested by security forces from Bihar’s East Champaran and Muzaffarpur districts, police sources said on Tuesday.

Two Maoists, Dashrath Ram and Rajesh Ram, were arrested from Kesaria in East Champaran district during a combing operation by the CRPF and the police on Monday.

Two other Maoists Yogendra Bhagat and Suraj were nabbed from Sahebganj in neighbouring Muzaffarpur district, they said.

A motorcycle, seven mobile phones and Rs 14,300 in cash were seized from the ultras.

The Maoists were involved in a number of incidents in East Champaran, Muzaffarpur and adjacent districts.
