Manoj Bajpayee gifts uniforms to women’s football team from Bihar

In a bid to encourage the country’s sporting talent, Manoj Bajpayee recently donated about 20 uniforms to the girls of Narkatiaganj Mahila Football Club in Bihar.

The actor said, “Sunil, the football coach, is like my brother and has dedicated 25 years of his life to promote sports in Narkatiaganj.

The women’s football team there is struggling as the girls come from poor families. Sunil has been fighting hard to push them to the National level. We do nothing for our own athletes. So I thought of taking this initiative. Girls playing football is also about them breaking down barriers in a male chauvinistic society. I hope people contribute in their own little ways to bring about a change.”

Sunil added, “This means a lot to the kids. Now, they want to come to Mumbai and play there.”
