VARANASI: Union agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh on Monday cleared that muscleman politician Pappu Yadav’s Jan Adhikar Morcha would not be a part of Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA alliance for the forthcoming Bihar assembly polls.

Talking to reporters BJP’s Gulab Bagh office here on Monday, Singh said that Ram Bilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party was already in the alliance and former chief minister Jitan Ram Majhi’s party too could join it but there was no possibility of Pappu Yadav’s inclusion.

On Janata Dal (United) and Rashtriya Janata Dal alliance, the minister said, “JD(U) leader and CM Nitish Kumar had once held RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav responsible for Jungle Raj in Bihar. Now Lalu has described Nitish as ‘Zahar’ (poison) and has accepted his leadership owing to political helplessness. The Bihar people have realized that Nitish maintained the image of progressive politics due to BJP’s support.”

The minister further said that the growth rate of Bihar had declined from 16% to 8% ever since the BJP walked out of Nitish government two years back. “Jungle Raj is returned. Nitish is indulging in lies to mislead the Bihar people,” he said adding that BJP had a number of able leaders from which a CM would be elected after the results of Bihar polls,” he said.
