Students should become leaders, says deputy CM

PATNA: Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi asked the graduating students of Dexterity School of Leadership and Entrepreneurship to engage in public service and leadership role. He told them that leadership is not limited to politics only, rather it’s about leading people and bringing them together.

Addressing the DexSchool students at the graduation ceremony on Tuesday, Modi said, “We need good leaders in science and technology, education, medicine and other fields. A nation is built when we have good leaders in all fields.”

DexSchool founder and noted social entrepreneur Sharad Sagar said, “Our kids come from India’s remotest villages and big cities. They dream of serving the nation though their education, skills and leadership. Deputy CM Modi has been a shining example of public service and leadership for over four decades. I hope our kids will learn from his experience to build an India of our dream.”

Total 51 DexSchool students of Class 2018 received the degrees on the occasion. They included Vedica, Ashwath, Aastha, Vikram, Prathyoom, Manshi, Manvi, Prerna, Rishav, Abhinav, Sarvik, Suruchi, Kartikey, Atul, Saurabh, Nikhil, Raunit, Vineet, Ayushi, Sahil, Subash, Abhinav Singh, Disha, Muskan, Vedika Sinha, Archa, Puroshottam, Rohit, Gagan, Rohit Kumar, Shailesh, Praharsh, Mayank, Rohit Bishnoi, Ashish, Ayush, Ritik, Ayush Kumar, Yash, Ayush Vats, Nikhil Raj, Muskan Kumari, Aditya, Alisha, Shreya, Ankit, Sumit, Nitesh, Shubham, Krish and Bilal.

Sharing the DexSchool experience, IIT Guwahati student M S Prathyoom, who hails from Chennai, said, “In the last 7 days, I have changed as a person. This programme is truly life-changing. Learning from people like Sharad Sir has been inspirational.”

A Class XII student of Radiant International School, Ritik Raj said, “I am confident that all young people who are part of DexSchool today will be world leaders tomorrow.” The boy has already represented India at major international forums like Yale University in the United States.

In the last six years, 250 students have graduated from DexSchool and are making a difference in the world.
