Trader from Bihar lynched in Tripura
1 min readAn irate mob on Thursday lynched a garment trader from Bihar and critically wounded two of his partners at Murabari locality under the Sidhai police station in Tripura following rumours on child trafficking.
A tense situation prevailed, forcing the State Government to suspend Internet services.
Opposition Congress and CPI(M) demanded the dismissal of Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath for making a “irresponsible statement” that allegedly fuelled the rumours. After a 11-year- old boy Purna Biswas was found murdered at Taranagar in Sidhai police station area, Mr. Nath had said that the murder was part of an international human organ racket.
