Woman burnt to death in Chapra

Chapra: The brother-in-law of a woman burnt her to death when her family members refused to meet her in-law`s dowry demand at Chandpura village under Parsa police station area in Saran district late last night.

Police said here today that the brother-in-law (husband’s younger brother) Ashok burnt the woman Neetu Singh (27) to death as her family members refused to meet the in-law`s dowry demand.

Sources said that Neetu was married four years ago.

Police said that the brother-in-law made good his escape after committing the crime.

Sources said the woman`s brother Manish Kumar had registered a named FIR against the brother-in-law Ashok and her mother-in-law.
