Ashima Jain appointed PS to Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti

New Delhi: Bihar cadre IAS officer Ashima Jain was on Saturday appointed Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti.

“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved appointment of Bihar cadre Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Ms Ashima Jain as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti at the level of Deputy Secretary on co – terminus basis,” a Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) note issued today said.

Ms Jain, who was repatriated to her parent Bihar cadre last year, is currently posted as Additional Secretary in the Labour and Employment Department in Bihar.

Earlier during 2011-12 she served as the Sub Divisional Magistrate of Gaya in Bihar.
