FIR against eight persons in Banka triple murder

PATNA: Eight persons have been named accused in connection with the triple murder that took place at village Karda under Katoria police station area in Banka district on Tuesday on Tuesday.

The bodies of Pavi Kumari (14), Anisha Kumari (8) and Priyanka Kumari (7), all sisters were found inside their thatched residence by police. The bodies bore multiple injury marks on necks and head. The girls were alone inside their home when the incident took place.

Katoria police station SHO Amrendra Kumar said the trio’s mother Phulmania Devi (38) had lodged an FIR against eight persons in connection with the murder case.

“Shailendra Yadav (48), his wife Kamli Devi (42), their two sons Diwakar Yadav (25) and Yogendra Yadav (22) and their four other family members were made named accused by Phulmania,” he said.

The SHO said Phulmania had accepted her illicit relation with Shailendra and had alleged that perhaps Shailendra’s wife and other family members killed her daughter for revenge.

Shailendra’s family members used to oppose his relation with Phulmania and on several occasion they had picked up arguments and scuffle with her.

“All accused had fled from the village soon after the incident and raids were on to nab them,” the SHO added.
