GAYA: In a bizarre incident, a man in his late thirties allegedly killed his wife and two children in village Kodihra under Mahkar police station area of the district. The three bodies were subsequently dumped in the nearby fields. The bodies were recovered Tuesday morning.
As per reports reaching the district headquarters, villagers reported the matter to the police, which, in turn took possession of the bodies and sent for post mortem examination. The post mortem examination would be conducted in the Anugrah Narain Magadh Medical College Hospital. The woman has been identified as Anju Devi. Her two sons Om Prakash (04) and Ashik (2) were also killed. Conjugal tiff is said to have triggered the killings.
According to a police officer deputed at the Mahkar police station, prima facie, it appeared to be a case of poisoning. Some burn marks were also seen on the bodies suggesting attempt to put the bodies on fire.
Sanjay Manjhi, the alleged assassin, along with his parents and other immediate family members has since been absconding. The woman was last seen Monday morning hale and hearty by her co villagers.
