5 DMs among IAS officials shifted
2 min readPatna: The state government on Wednesday shifted over a dozen IAS officials, including the DMs of Patna, Nalanda, Bhagalpur, Purnia and Kaimur districts.
Purnia DM Manish Kumar Verma has been appointed new Patna DM replacing N Saravana Kumar. Kumar has been relieved to become personal secretary to Union law and telecommunication minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Kaimur DM Arvind K Singh will replace Verma in Purnia. The joint secretary, cabinet coordination department, Prabhakar Jha, has been made the new Kaimur DM. Additional secretary, general administration department and director, good governance, Birendra Kumar Yadav, has been shifted to Bhagalpur as DM. Nalanda DM Palka Sahni has been transferred to general administration department as additional secretary while Bhagalpur DM, Buddhabhati Dhanji Kartikeya has been made the Nalanda DM.
Additional member, Board of Revenue, Rajesh Gupta, who is also holding the charge of additional departmental enquiry commissioner, has been made principal secretary, cooperative department, replacing Atul Prasad. Prasad will hold the charges earlier held by Gupta.
Another additional departmental enquiry commissioner, Rajit Punhani, has been made finance secretary (expenditure). Subhash Sharma, who was waiting for posting, has been posted as adviser in Bihar State Planning Board.
Bihar State Housing Board (BSHB) revenue officer Manish Kumar, who was also holding the additional charge of officer on special duty, urban development and housing department, has been transferred as director, primary education.
GAD additional secretary Bandana Preyasi has been given additional charges of MD, Bihar State Beverage Corporation Limited, and director (good governance) at the Centre for Good Governance Society.
