PATNA: A day after his retirement from the post of Bihar chief secretary, Anjani Kumar Singh, a 1981-batch IAS officer, was on Friday appointed as chief minister Nitish Kumar’s adviser (policy and programme implementation).

Singh will enjoy the status and facilities of a cabinet minister, a notification from the cabinet secretariat department said.

As advisor, Singh will provide necessary advice and assistance to the CM in finalisation and result-oriented implementation of policies, resolutions and programmes for overall development of the state.

Besides this, Singh can time-to-time be given other responsibilities related to policies, plans and programmes and their implementation for development of the state, the notification says.
