Advocate’s killer held in Delhi
1 min readPatna: A 36-year-old sharp shooter allegedly involved in the daylight murder of senior Gopalganj advocate Tripurari Sharan Sharma was arrested from Delhi on Saturday.
The accused, Wazir Ahmed alias Dabbu Miyan, was absconding after he had killed former public prosecutor Sharma at his official chamber in the Gopalganj court on August 30, 2015.
Wazir of Kishanganj was intercepted by a Delhi police team on Sailing Road near Jamia Nagar around 5.30pm on Saturday and subsequently taken into custody. Wazir had gone to meet his acquaintance when the police nabbed him.
Gopalganj superintendent of police Rasheed Zaman said on Sunday that a police team has been sent to Delhi to bring the arrested accused on transit remand. “He was evading arrest in the case related to the murder of a senior advocate on the court premises in 2015,” he added.
Wazir stepped into the world of crime in 2002 when he was arrested on charges of opening fire to establish his supremacy.
