Bihar CM Nitish Kumar urges traffic discipline in thought and point of view

Nitish became the victim of his own politics as currently he is still exploring his new positioning in a changed political scenarioPatna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today urged people to inculcate traffic discipline  in their thouhgt and outlook. Addressing the 40th foundation day function of Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam here. He said bridges alone would not solve the traffic problem. “If everyone followed traffic rules traffic jamswould never occur on roads”, he added.

He complimented the Nigam for turning around and expanding business from a turnover of just Rs 95.88 crore in 2006-07 to Rs 17,000 crore in 2014-15.

The Nigam is also setting up a Business Development Cell to undertake projects outside Bihar,  he announced.    He was glad to note that in the last 10 years, the Nigam has completed 1504 projects in the state.

He was also satisfied that the target of enabling people to reach Patna even from far flung areas  within six hours by road has been achieved. Presiding over the function, road construction minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh said that at present the Nigam was executing 636 project estimated to cost Rs 10,186.81 crore and 205 new project worth Rs 85,453 crore are in the pipeline.
