Bihar: Four including security guard, block head murdered in last 24 hours
2 min readPATNA: Four persons including a security guard and a former block head were murdered in separate incidents in Saran, Sitamarhi, Begusari and Khagaria respectively in last 24 hours in Bihar.
In the first incident security guard Binay Kumar Akela (36) was shot dead at Kojhi Chowk under Parsauni police station in Saran on Monday night. SHO Suresh Kumar Yadav said three bike borne criminals shot dead Akela when he was returning home. He was shot twice. Yadav suspected that few criminals against whom he had given information in some cases might had murdered them. The SHO said he was a native of Parsa Mathura village.
In Sitamarhi, one Devendra Prasad Singh (55) was shot dead just near Indo-Nepal international border in Tharbithiya village under Bargania police station in Sitamarhi district on Monday evening.
SHO Sujeet Kumar said the deceased was shot in the back when was returning on a bike. He said Singh, the former block head of Pakri Dayal block in East Champaran, had land in Nepal and a case verdict in Nepal court was expected within ten days before which he was murdered. He said the deceased was native of Pachtakiram village in Pakri Dayal block.
Meanwhile, at village Sonbarsa under Balia police station in Begusarai district, one Binod Kumar Yadav (65) was beaten mercilessly after a petty dispute with two children on Monday evening. Balia police station SHO Vinay Tiwari said Yadav died during treatment at sadar hospital on Tuesday. He said two accused Asha Devi (32) and Kanti Devi (35), who are among the seven named accused in FIR, were arrested on Tuesday. Tiwari said Yadav cousin brother Ranjeet Yadav lodged FIR in connection with the murder.
Police in Khagaria recovered bullet ridden body of one Ranjeet Yadav (30) thrown in a roadside ditch beside NH-31 in village Ekaunia under Mansi police station on Tuesday. SHO Raghvendra Kumar said he was shot twice and FIR against unknown was lodged in connection with the murder. He said Yadav was resident of Siraiya village under Sahebpur Kamal police station in Begusarai district.
