Bihar government approves insurance scheme for journalists
1 min readThe approval to Bihar state journalists insurance scheme, 2014 was granted at a meeting of the Cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna.
The scheme, which would cover accidents as well healthcare of mediapersons, was pending for years.
The Cabinet also cleared 21 proposals of different departments during the meeting.
It sanctioned Rs 541.85 crore for construction, widening and repair of 360 km of state highways and major district roads and also gave its nod to a proposal to declare Judges of High Courts of other states and Lokayuktas, as state guests on the basis of reciprocity.
The meeting approved other proposals of health, environment and forest, education and panchayati raj departments among others.
