Supaul: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today asserted that Bihar`s development was not possible without the growth of Mithila region.
After laying foundation for various schemes, including one for raising the eastern embankment of Kosi river, Mr Kumar said like Mithila`s growth was linked to Bihar`s development, the country could not develop without the progress of the state.
A total of Rs 879 crore would be spent in the projects, the Chief minister told the gathering at Bihari Gurmaita High Middle School ground at Bhaptiyahi in the district.
He said that the schemes would be completed within two years.
He said that his government was committed to developing Kosi region at a fast pace.
