Huge consignment of foreign liquor seized in ‘dry’ Bihar

Patna: A day before Holi, police seized huge consignments of foreign liquor and arrested seven peddlers in Gopaganj and Khagaria districts today.

According to a report from Gopalganj, police seized 45 cartons of foreign liquor from two cars and arrested three peddlers near Jagannathpur village under Gopalpur police station area in the district.

Police said that the nabbed bootleggers had been identified as Rajkishore Giri and Sushil Kumar, natives of Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh and Raju Kumar from Gopalpur.

The value of seized liquor is worth lakhs of rupees.

A report from Khagaria said that police seized 40 bottles of foreign liquor from two motorcycles and arrested four bootleggers on National Highway 107 near Pitra village under Chautham police station area in the district.
