Man takes selfie atop train in Bihar, high tension wire chars him to death
1 min readA 22-year-old man was charred to death when he came in contact with a high tension electricity cable while taking a selfie atop a stationary goods train in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district.
Rohan Kumar, of Sikandarpur locality in the town, was burnt when he climbed a goods train in Narayanpur Anant railway station around 6 pm on Friday, station house officer (SHO) of government railway police (GRP), Muzaffarpur, Achche Lal Singh Yadav said.
He was posing for a selfie when he came in contact with the 30,000-volt overhead high tension wire. There was a huge spark and he was engulfed in a fire that killed him on the spot, Yadav said, quoting locals and labourers working in the nearby railway yard who witnessed the incident.
A friend of Rohan, who had accompanied him, fled the spot after the incident, police said.
