Maoists abduct four workers, burn machines in Munger

Munger: Dreaded Maoists abducted four employees of a private company and set aflame machines near Kharagpur lake under Haveli Kharagpur police station area in the district.

Police said here that around 50 extremists of outlawed CPI (Maoist) attacked the work site of company engaged in removing silt from Kharagpur lake and set aflame company’s four poclain machines, two Hyva trucks and a motorcycle late last night.

Sources said that Maoists abducted its eight employees before making their
escape good.

The outlaws released four employees from their captivity but
abducted four others.

Meanwhile, deputy inspector general of police (Munger range) Jitendra Mishra said that in the joint leadership of police superintendents of Munger, Jamui and Lakhisarai districts had launched a combing operation in the forest area of Kharagpur to ensure safe release of kidnapped employees and nab the extremists.
