Paswan rejects BJP-JD(U) rift theory in Bihar
1 min readNEW DELHI: Union minister Ramvilas Paswan on Thursday said NDA in Bihar remains intact and the partners will fight the Lok Sabha elections together, dismissing political speculation over the strained ties between JD(U) and BJP here.
Paswan, who described himself as the “cementing force” in the alliance, said he had spoken to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and the JD(U) chief had assured him that the NDA would remain intact. “I have spoken to Nitishji. I also spoke to leaders in the BJP. Let me tell you that the NDA is and will remain intact,” he said.
Speculation had grown lately after some JD(U) leaders took swipes at BJP projecting their party as the senior partner even as seat-sharing for the LS polls remains a bone of contention between the two allies.
