Retired ITI teacher shot dead in Jamui

Jamui: Unidentified criminals shot dead a retired teacher of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Kakan village under Town police station area in the district late last night.

Police said here today that assailants shot at ITI teacher Satyanarayan Pandit (62) leaving him seriously injured as soon as he opened main door of his house in response to a knock by them.

Sources said that the teacher was admitted to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment.

Police said, the deceased`s family members claimed Satyanarayan was having a long standing land dispute with his co-villagers –Shankar Pandit and Malo Pandit and so he was murdered.

The body has been sent to Jamui Sadar Hospital for autopsy, sources claimed.
