RJD, CPI, RLSP (Arun faction), JAP to support Bharat Bandh

Patna: Bhim Army sponsored tomorrow`s Bharat Bandh against changes in the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act received a shot in the arm in Bihar today when the main opposition party RJD, CPI, RLSP (Arun fation) and MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav led Jan Adhikar Party extended their support to the agitation.

Train and bus services are likely to be thrown out of gear due to ‘Bharat Bandh’.

Essential services like ambulance have been kept outside the perview of agitation.

Senior RJD leader and former Minister Suresh Paswan said that the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act had been rendered ineffective as the changes were not vehemently opposed in the Supreme Court.

He said that it clearly showed the Centre`s intention to repeal the act itself.
