sharad-yadavNew Delhi: Janata Dal (U) President Sharad Yadav today slammed Bhartiya Janta Party for holding various caste conventions in Bihar and accused it of doing dual politics on caste.

Talking to UNI here, the veteran JD (U) leader said “first they were against certain castes and suddenly, their affection has grown for them. They have been doing this for a long time now.”  Mr Yadav said in the ensuing Bihar Legislative Assembly poll, Janta Parivar will rupture the drum of BJP and added the BJP-led Central government had failed on all fronts.  Land Acquisition bill, Inflation, Foreign policy, you take any front.

This government has disappointed people on every issue. People of Bihar are surely going to teach a lession to BJP this time.” On seat sharing, Mr Yadav said discussions are on with RJD and soon, a consensus will be formed. Both the parties had earlier fought two elections—Rajya Sabha and by-poll in the state together.  When asked about former Chief Minister Jitam Ram Manjhi shifting sides and joining BJP camp, Mr Yadav sarcastically said ‘he had joined every party in the past right from Congress to RJD  and JD (U).

Only BJP was left, so now he is with them.” On the recent much publicised operation of security forces against NSCN militants, Mr Yadav stated chest thumbing of BJP leaders had upset Myanmar, a very old ally of India and added that ‘insensitive’ people are running the government who have no idea about foreign policy.
