1 min readPatna: Stepping up their drive against ultras, police has arrested three dreaded Maoists in Patna and Jamui districts during the last 12 hours.
A dreaded Maoist Anil Yadav alias Anil Tiger who was absconding for nearly 14 years was arrested from an orchard near Charpolwa Sonmai Road in Patna district on Tuesday.
Senior police superintendent Manu Mahraj said the extremist of outlawed CPI (Maoist) Anil Tiger was arrested when he and his associates were giving final shape to their strategy to execute some unlawful activity.
He said a pistol and four live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
Mr Maharaj said the outlaw was involved in at least 18 unlawful activities.
SSP said the extremist had demanded extortion from the manager of private construction company on June 9 this year.
