Youth killed for Rs.10 in Katihar

Patna: Can anyone be killed for a meager sum of Rs 10. Yes, in a Bihar town it did happened on Tuesday night when a man was stabbed to death by four persons whom he refused to pay Rs 10 for buying chewing tobacco mixed with betel nut (gutka).

A youth Deepak Kumar Yadav, who was in his early 20s, was stabbed to death late on Tuesday in Katihar town, following his refusal to pay the money demanded by the four people for purchasing `gutka’.

The district police chief of Katihar Asgar Imam said that a case has been registered in this and a manhunt has been launched to arrested the alleged murderers.

Even the police chief was surprised to know that an innocent was killed for mere Rs 10.

Shocked by the bizarre incident, the locals have demanded immediate arrest and stern action against the culprits.
