Eight Central University of South Bihar students have landed an internship with the state government’s Directorate of Economics & Statistics under the planning and development department.

Public relations officer Mohammad Mudassir Alam said all of them are second-semester MSc statistics students.

Arun Kumar Sinha, head of department, statistics, said: “Akanksha Sinha, Nistha Bhardwaj, Samur Ariba, Akanksha, Monika Rashmi, Ritu Singh, Neha Kumari and Bhavna Kumari have been selected to work on agricultural statistics, vital statistics, state income and National Sample Survey Office.”

Two English masters students Poonam Kumari and Suman have been selected for Gandhi Fellowship for 2018-20.

A four-member team from the World Bank visited Aryabhatta Knowledge University on Thursday and interacted with the officials and teachers. Academic advisor Jessica D. Lee led the team of Satya Narayan Panda, Surbhi Dingra and Vallabh Chandra Kishor.

Bushra Jaman, state academic coordinator of the university’s technical education quality improvement programme, was also present at the meeting.
