SBTE Result 2017: SBTE Results 2017 for semesters one and two (old syllabus) along with the results for compartmental exams have been declared on the official website of the board – sbtebihar.gov.in. Although the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Bihar released the results for Semester One, Two, Three and Four (Old/New Syllabus) Exam – 2017, which were held in December 2017, the official website showed the results for Semester 1 & 2 -2017; both regular and compartmental.

Candidates who appeared for the SBTE semesters one and two exam may check their respective results on the official website- sbtebihar.gov.in. However, the results for the SBTE examination are available both on sbtebihar.gov.in and sbteonline.in.

Follow the steps to download your result

  1. Visit the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE)’s official website- sbtebihar.gov.in
  2. The homepage opens and there is an ‘Important Notice’ icon. Under it, there is the result link. Click on it
  3. Select the name of the examination taken and thereby enter your roll number
  4. The result will be displayed on your screen
  5. Download your result. Also, take a printout of the same for future reference.

The students who have failed the exam may also take a re-exam, but the provision for the same stands, when at least 30 per cent or more students fail. Earlier, the SBTE had introduced a rule that if a student fails in six subjects, he/she cannot take any further examinations. This was notified in the middle of the session. With more than 60 per cent students failing the October 2017 Semester II examination, there was a demand for taking the re-test of the failed students.

It may be noted that SBTE- Bihar, Patna oversees the evaluation and certification of 6 Semester Diploma Courses of all the Polytechnic Institutions that are affiliated to the Bihar Board. On May 31, 1955, by the government’s order, SBTE was constituted under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Bihar. The board is working continuously for raising the academic standard of Polytechnic Institutions of this State.
