Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Patna, Supaul to see more rains, thundershowers
1 min readPre-Monsoon rains and thundershowers lashed several parts of Bihar during the past 24 hours, particularly over Northeast Bihar.
The city of Forbesganj recorded 36.2 mm of rain in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday. Other places like Muzaffarpur, Supaul and Darbhanga too received light to moderate rain and thundershower activities.
Now, we can see a cyclonic circulation over Northeast Jharkhand, thus rain and thundershower activities are likely to cover many parts of Bihar.
During the next six hours, moderate rain and thundershowers may occur over Araria, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Jamui, Katihar, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Lakhisarai, Madhepura, Madhubani, Munger, Nalanda, Patna, Purnia, Saharsa, Samastipur, Sheikhpura and Supaul districts of Bihar.
Few places might also witness squally winds and hail storm.
However, these on and off pre-monsoon rains are expected to remain for the next three to four days, till April 9, covering many districts of Bihar. As per weathermen, as the easterly winds will continue to feed moisturize over the state of Bihar, pre-Monsoon showers will go on.
Maximum temperatures at present are in the higher 30s and will be seen dipping in many parts of the states in the coming days. Mornings and nights are expected to remain comfortable. Weather will further improve, and temperatures will rise.
The state of Bihar witnesses pre-Monsoon rainfall activity during the end of March as well as the entire month of April.
