CAT orders transfer of IAS officer out of Bihar

Observing that “there could be a repeat of the Satyendra Dubey murder case,” the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) here has directed the Union and the Bihar governments to facilitate transfer of a Bihar cadre IAS officer either to Haryana or at the Centre. Jitendra Gupta has sought his transfer submitting that he apprehends threat to his life from “transport mafia”.
