Raiganj (WB): A North Dinajpur court today sent Bihar MLA Mehebub Alam to 14 days’ judicial custody in connection with a clash between Congress and CPI(ML) at Itahar in the district.
Alam, elected from Balarampur assembly in neighbouring Katihar district of Bihar from CPI(ML), was arrested from his residence last night.
He was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court today and his bail plea was turned down.
