Patna: Just a few hours after Maoists blew up two mobile towers in Bihar’s Gaya, a cylinder bomb was found on railway tracks between Gaya and Mughal Sarai, just ahead of two big election rallies by BJP’s Prime Ministrial candidate Narendra Modi.

As per reports, the bomb was to be planted inside the Rajdhani Express.

On Wednesday, nearly 100 maoists gathered to blow up the tower of a private company by exploding powerful bombs at Manjhauli and Dumaria Bazar villages.

The maoists have called for a bandh in protest against the killing of 10 of their cadres in Chhatra recently.

Today, Modi is scheduled to address two rallies at Maoist-hit Gaya and Sasaram. Director General of Police (DGP) Abhayanand said yesterday,”We have anticipated all types of threats from the Maoists and terrorists. Security arrangements are being made accordingly.”

Last year, a terror attack had rocked a Modi rally in Bihar’s Patna killing 7, including a suspected bomber.

Hence, the Bihar government has decided to deploy 48,000 security personnel for the six LS constituencies – Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Karakat, Jamui, Gaya and Sasaram-for peaceful polling.
